Labour Day Kenduri

Went back to Penang for what can be the last time for a while as I'm starting work soon. We left KL on the Friday and came back on Thursday so it was a week. While there my parents asked the local caterer Pak Lid if he had any bookings on Labour Day and as he was free, they went ahead and had the kenduri. It's more a get together, but also as Thanksgiving for me finishing my Masters and getting a job  The people in the kampung (village) remarked that it could be for a wedding as we had 2 tents, but it had been raining every afternoon so we had to just in case. It was good as I got to see cousins I haven't seen since their wedding day which was ages ago and now their kid's are 4. Weird thinking I've missed out on the baby years.. that's when they get to know you. Now, the newbies don't know me. It's like "Who's this person talking to me?" Also got to meet up with cousins who I used to be close to but have lost touch these pass few years. The whole thing was outsourced- my parents hired some local boys to help with the clearing up so we didn't have to break our backs clearing up during & after. It used to be during these affairs the family'll help but after what happened at one of the kenduri, the lesson has been learnt. Anyway, food in the kampung & SP is good, will miss that while I'm in KL. It's also cheap to organise kenduris in the kampung as all the tents, tables & chairs, plates & serving dishes are free for all to borrow.. As long as there's no clashing function, you just let the storekeeper know when you want them. All you have to pay for is the food, lorry/transport & the boys.

CNY Cinta Sayang Kenduri

Went back to Cinta Sayang Club, Kedah for a wedding on Chinese New Year's. The food was superb, especially since I hadn't had these kind of food for a while now... saja took some pics with the clan.

was at the last minute told to meet up with Syida & ParG in Bristol.. so, I did. Went to Cornwall sampai Land's End. Very pretty place ~ would definitely like to go back sometime..
